Magical Music

It’s been a long time since I wrote my last post. Today I thought let’s begin. It’s always better late than never. But I am not able to decide what to write. I want to write something which I really want to share. Just now I thought to write my feelings about music. Music has always been my best companion, my best friend. Music has always cared for me or may be I cared for music. The time when I found no one around me music is the one who was and still with me sharing all my good and bad moments. Music is something which can excite me, can make me smile, can make me feel sad, can make me dance, can make me think and always bring such a good moments that I can’t describe in words. Often it happens that when I am listening some song and a moment related to that particular song come into my mind. For example the some I lust listened was one of my favorite on my last working place and that automatically brings all the happy moments of that place and those people. Music (in FM radio) is the only reason that I love to be awake at nights. So many times it happened that whole night I didn’t feel like sleeping and spends all along with my best company music. While at college I used to sms songs name and the station name while it’s playing in FM to my friend and so do some of my friends. Even at late night this happened…that crazy I was and still am. Things changed…situation changed…places changed…but still music is my most adorable friend as like yesterdays. Sometimes somewhere (like while traveling or while walking on the road or anywhere else) I listen a song or a part of a song which touches my heart and that moment I decide that I have to get (download) that particular song… sometimes without having any particulars (Like actual song, singer name, movie name, which language etc… only with that line or few parts of that song. I still remember in my 5th semester the night before my exam I actually able to catch a difficult node of a Bengali song which I practiced for a long time and finally the moment came that I can sing that difficult portion of that song with perfection. I was so happy that I felt like achieving a prestigious award. Anyway the important thing is the happiness I felt at that moment. Of course not all the time but yeah mostly music has the power to sooth you. Right now I am listening a beautiful track sung by sonu nigam(ab mujhe raat din),before that it was another sweet number by babul supriyo(sochta hun usko dil).

Surprises in IMA

I am getting so many surprises from the day of joining into IMA. The initial experiences I've included in my previous post itself. The first thing started with every morning PT by 5.30 itself. Then it goes with preparation for academy..class starts by 8.30am. Then the long day session continues till 6.05 in the evening. Then too often we'll be in lab itself to finish up our presentations,assignments,e-modules etc etc. Sometimes even after supper again we have to go to lab to finish up the work.
Anyways... theses are all about the regular happenings. I am about to tell about the surprises which I've gone through here.
So the next surprise was the DJ night which fall on the 2nd of my stay in IMA. We all were so excited(as it would be a great relaxation for all of us after a hectic week of academy),specially me as I didn't have any experience about DJ and all. The very day started with as usual class session. Then by 5'o clock it got over as because we had a speech by our director's Guruji. Then after the speech and all the DJ started by 9'o clock. I have gone with some of my friends. First we had our supper( which was not good as expected) and then gone for the party. Beside the dining hall in the open ground the party has arranged. The entrance looked so dark that at first we thought whether to enter or not. But after a while we got the idea and entered. There was so much of loud music in the loud speaker that I couldn't bare for a long time. But still with some of my friends we have enjoyed. Though I was not aware of the steps but my friends made me to dance on the bits for a while. Later they even appreciated my dance that I looked so cute while dancing. Then after a few while I returned hostel.
So here comes the next surprise on my Birthday. Actually the previous week I've gone to Chennai to meet ma and didi. Sunday afternoon I returned. Evening while went for taking snacks all are asking about me and wished also. The 8'o clock I have been called out for the mess. I was fully thrown into surprise while I saw they have arranged a surprise birthday party. It was truly special for me as I didn't have had an experience like thins ever in my life. It was a blast. We have taken so many photos. All were celebrating. Every where the cheers of my friend were coming. I felt so good... so touched.
Life is not that bad as we think. As it says there is always a better way of life. We should consider the positive, refreshing, pleasant side too instead of thinking always the sad happening. Now I really feel “there is always a better way of life”.

IMA

Life has so many colors. And the interesting part is not even a single color stays for a long tile. The trick is that we have to make the color bright and suitable for us so that we can be happy. I have seen so many sides of life..yeah, in a younger stage itself. The lighter, the darker, the happier and the faster.
After college it has been a long time that i really have had a faster life. Expecting from someone is not wrong but believing extremely also not good, which i did. But I have no regret for that as there was assurance for that.
Anyways coming to this write which is the initial part of starting of my work life.
The very day was 3rd august '09.The joining day in IMA,Bangalore. Me, ma and didi has reached Bangalore by 2nd august itself and stayed in the Sarada Math, Ulsoor. So on 3rd we have started from Sri Sarada Math by 8.30a.m.
From there we've gone to Yeshwantpur Jn. as informed earlier by the campus people. It took some 20mins to reach the exact place in the station. After arriving there we saw some 3 girls and guys are waiting for the bus to come and take us to the academy. Then again after a long wait we started for the academy by 11o'clock. Ma and didi came by another cab. Then after some half an hour we reached our destination. Ladies hostel was in B block. Then after registration and all we were give our rooms in the 3rd floor. Obviously it was not a good experience to climb 4 pair of stairs all the time but no other go. It was around 1.30pm. So we asked to go to the mess to have our lunch as the lunch time expires by 2o'clock. The dining hall is in another block(D block). After lunch we had some other official work to complete. The rooms are not so good as compared to my previous two hostels especially the toilet. Anyhow we have to stay here, no other choice.
Meanwhile got some friends. People came all over India. But I think around 5o percent from AP. There are Bengali, Hindi,Gujarati,Tamil, Malayalai,Rajasthani,Telugu,Kannada and so on. But the common language is Hindi.
Then that night ma and sister went to the guest house which is about 4km far from the academy.
Then the next day(4th august) had to get the uniform and books which has delayed to the next day for the heavy rush of students. Ma and didi left for Chennai today. There train was in the night. There was a heavy feeling for all three of us but for the sake of future we have to cope up with that.
5th august. Today we got the library books and the uniform(3 navy blue trousers, 3 white and blue checked shirt,1 navy blue coat,a pair of tie). Evening we have given a sports T-shirt,shocks,a file, a black college bag etc. Yesterday our account also has been opened. Chequebooks also has been given.
6th august. Today we have asked to go to the academy in full uniform. I have been put in the G section. A very sweet girl called nandini is there in my class, so I'm very happy. We are very good friends. Today we filled the loan agreement form. After lunch I got my shoes as I've asked for the flat one(the regular one is come 4inch high heel), thats why it got delayed for 2 days. The one I got has less heel, about some 1 inch. Then by 4o'clock in the evening we had our Inauguration function. There was only speech, kind of warning and threatening. After that had our snacks and came to hostel.
7th august. Today we had our first day of class. Early morning we got up which started from yesterday onwards and went for yoga or P.T. The got ready for the class. Had breakfast and started for the college. Director himself was standing the the main entrance of the academy to check whether we have dressed properly or not. Then it started the long heavy day of 8hrs class. Before starting the class we are allowed to go to the washroom(time limit is 5mins) which is not at all possible as 5mins is very less to reach the washroom, wash the face and return to class. Lecturers are alright. From all of them I like KrishnaRao Sir, Susan Mam and Sreevina Mam. The best thing is here I can view the moon when ever I come out of my room as I just love to see and cherish the moon. Actually 5th it was the full moon day so I'm lucky to see the full moon most of the time specially at the night in the dark sky. Its just awesome.
Today night I took some photos with my uniform which I want to show to ma and didi. It came pretty good.
Night out pass would be provided from the 2nd week of our joining. So I'm planning to go to home by 3rd week.
8th august. Morning got up some lately. Then breakfast, then came to room, then some rest and then went for lunch. Actually already I planned to go to Ramakrishna Ashram. So started from the hostel by 2.30 p.m and then from college to the nearest main bus depot Shivaji Nagar. It took some 45mins. Then from there another bus to Ramakrishna Math, which also took some 45mins but waited for the some 15-20mins. Then reached the ashram around 4.35pm. Here I faced one problem that is there is no such fruit shop or flower shop as like chennai ( where we can have so many specially near ashram or temple). Anyways took a coconut for Thakur as there was this was the only one shop of fruit. The made pranam to Thakur, Ma and Swamiji. Prayed for sometimes. Then went to the holy rock where Sri Ma has sat and meditated. After that met with Shantimayananda Maharaj and made pranam. Then he asked about the academy etc. He gave me a book of Swamiji named “Lectures from Colombo to Almora”. I am so grateful to him. He also asked me to come to any holiday and to take the prasad. Then I was the watch, it was around 5.30pm. I got to go. So told maharaj that I'll come on some other day so that he can give me some advice of Sri Ma, Thakur and Swamiji so that I can be able to manage the obstacle and can have progress in my professional, personal and spiritual life. Anyways I know Thakur is always there with me in any situation.
So todays is the Sunday and I'm free enough to come and sit for the net. These are the experiences and happenings happened in my first week in Manipal.
Hope soon I'll come with new happenings in my life.
Jai Ramakrishna.

Swami Brahmananda Jayanti

Yesterday it was the very Wednesday, 28th of Jan which has become the holy day as it was the very day when Swami Brahmananda has born in this earth. He used to be known as Raja Maharaja or Maharaj. While going to the Mylapore Math (the Universal Temple) I took a garland for Thakur as it was my long time wish, only I was waiting for a good time. After few times in meditation I went to attend the lecture of Swami Gautamananda which has always been a special occasion to me. He started the discourse with his usual sweet voice. Here is some extracts what he told today in the occasion of Raja Maharaja’s Birthday. “…on 21st January, Tuesday night 12o’clock he was born. Both his parents were so much devoted to god that from the childhood itself he got that attitude. His name was Rakhalchandra Ghosh…..Both Narendranath (later Swami Vivekananda) and Rakhal studied in the same school. Rakhal had a great affection for music and he was a good singer too. He used to be very good in all kind of sports. The friendship and affection between Narendra and Rakhal which continued from their school days lasted till the end of their monastic life. Thakur used to call his as “Brajer Rakhal”, the name considered for the Lord Krishna. As Swami Premananda considered as the incarnation of Sri Radha, the same way Swami Brahmananda considered as the incarnation of Lord Krishna. The meaning of Rakhal is the cowboy... So Sri Ramakrishna used to call him as “Brajer Rakhal” the ultimate Krishna himself. While Sri Ramakrishna practicing different modes of religion he prayed Mother Kali to send a spiritual aspirant with whom he can discuss and share all his feelings. Then once while he was meditating in that state he saw that Goddess Kali has placed a lovely child on his lap and told that this is his child and the very person with whom he can discuss all his spiritual feelings. Then all of sudden Sri Ramakrishna got a shock, because he is a Monk, has left all the bondage of the material life then how could he become the father of this sweet child. Then Mother assured him by telling that this will be his spiritual child. The child was none other than Swami Brahmananda. So Swami Bramhananda was Sri Ramakrishna’s spiritual child, his “Manas Putra”. That is why Swami Ramakrishnananda wanted to bring Swami Brahmananda to the south. He used to tell that south is unfortunate for having seen Thakur (Sri Ramakrishna), so his Spiritual Child Swami Brahmananda should come to the South India. And he also brought him (Brahmanandaji) to the south. The foundation stone in the old shrine has been laid by Swami Brahmananda. Before the first meeting with Rakhalchandra Sri Ramakrishna already knew that he (Rakhal) is coming. At the first sight itself Thakur became so much happy and enquired with his usual sweet voice that why Rakhal delayed so much to come to see him (Thakur). Rakhal felt as if he has come to his mother (Actually he has lost his mother at a very young age itself. Then his father married again and he brought up by his step mother). Thakur also felt that his own child has come to see him. The love and affection of Thakur made him realize his very own mother within Thakur. He made pranam to Thakur by touching the feet by his head and then kept his head in Thakur’s lap as a child showing his affection towards his mother. While leaving Thakur said “Come again” with his touching care. After that day Rakhal became so affectionate to Thakur that he started coming Dakshineshwar (where Thakur lived) to meet Thakur, sometimes even without his father’s permission. His father was so much offensive towards his visit to Thakur. But with his great intelligence Thakur made Rakhal’s father agreed to send Rakhal to him. Once Thakur asked Rakhal to make a Betel leaf for him but instantly Rakhal refused that by saying that he doesn’t know how to make a betel leaf. Nearby Latu Maharaj was present. He felt so bad and also angry by Rakhal (Raja Maharaj)’s behavior that he told him what is there to make a betel leaf, and moreover Thakur is asking you to that then you must not refuse that. Then Thakur was smiling, asked Latu Maharaj not to scold Rakhal and told that just like that I asked Rakhal to make a betel leaf, I was not serious. If I would have serious about that work that Rakhal would have no power to refuse that because that would be the order of The Supreme Lord. Once Rakhal had some conflict with Thakur and told that he is going away from Thakur. But surprisingly as soon as he nearer to the front gate not was not able to make a single move and being unable to move he sat there itself. From the window Thakur has seen this and asked someone to call Rakhal. While he entered in the room he asked see to have told you already no that from this place you will never be allowed to go out. Thakur had tied all his disciples with an unseen bondage of Love that no one could even think of coming out of that. One time both Narendra and Rakhal had come to Dakshineshwar. Rakhal went to the Kali temple and bowed before the Goddess. By seeing this Narendra asked him “u are going to temple and praying to the image which is not correct. As a member of Brahmo Samaj we have been said that not to believe in all those images. The Supreme Lord is the one who is Formless, the Brahma… but forgetting that you are showing your gratitude the image. This is not the right thing you are doing.” Hearing this Sri Ramakrishna told to Narendra, “don’t make him stop to go to the Kali Temple. Yes, what you are telling is right. The almighty, the Brahma is Formless. But you should know that he exists with Form too. And also he is beyond Form and Formless. Like the water of river, sea etc. become vapor then cloud and at last Rain in the form of water comes again to the earth. So it is the same water alone, the difference exists only in its form”.
Then after the Mahasamadhi of Sri Ramakrishna Rakhal has taken sanyas and named as Swami Brahmananda (Raja Maharaj). The name Raja has kept by Sri Ramakrishna himself. Once in a gathering of disciples Thakur was telling that Rakhal has the combined intelligence of the entire raja, maharajas in a country. With such intelligence he (Rakhal) can even rule a country. From that time onwards he used to be called as “Raja maharaj” or “Maharaj”. . Both Swami Vivekananda and Swami Brahmananda were so much affectionate to each other that it has shown in their life also. Once Swamiji was so much angry in some matter and told some harsh word to Brahmanandaji. Brahmanandaji felt so bad that he went to his room, closed all the doors and windows and started weeping like a child. After a few while Swamiji realized his mistake and went running to Brahmanandaji’s room. He asked pardon for his misbehavior and told “I should leave this math (Belur Math) and go to Himalayas for Spiritual practice. You were so much dear to our Thakur that never in his life, he never hurt you even with a flower. And there I have behaved in such a wrong way”. Saying all this Swamiji too started crying like a small child. Then Brahmanandaji told Swamiji “what is there if you have scolded me. You are so much caring for this Math. Only for the welfare of this math you did such. You should not be ashamed for what you have done”. But these words too couldn’t stop Swamiji from crying. After that Brahmanandaji consoled Swamiji in various ways and brought him normal. This incident shows the tremendous love between them. There is another incident. When Swamiji has returned from United States after winning the Parliament of Religion, Swamiji Brahmananda has come to receive Swamiji. By seeing Brahmanandaji, Swamiji became so much happy that he prostrated before him. While asking the reason behind this Swamiji told, “Guru Bat Guru Putreshu” i.e. the son of guru is same like a guru. As Swami Brahmananda was Sri Ramakriahna’s Spiritual son so saluting him is same as saluting the Guru, The Master himself. Then in return Brahmanandaji also saluted Swamiji. While asking the reason he replied, “Jeshtho Bhrata Shamo Pitah” i.e. the elder brother is same as like the father. As Swamiji is elder to him and also he was considering Swamiji as his elder brother, so showing respect to his is like showing respect to his own father which is otherwise Thakur himself. This very incident also shows the brotherly affection between each other. Swami Brahmananda went to Brindavan after his sanyas. Once while he and Swami Turiyananda traveling around Brindavan they had a thought. It used to be said that in Brindavan no one would be without food, Sri Radha is taking care of all. So both Brahmanandaji and Turiyanandaji decided that the particular day they will not go out for food, they will not go for Bhiksha. If really the saying is true then Sri Radha will take care of them. With this thought they closed the door and started meditating. Whole morning has passed, afternoon has passed even the night also has passed. But none of them had even the thought to feed themselves. Then on the next day very early in the morning someone has knocked the door. While they opened the door by their surprise they saw that so many buckets of food items have kept in front of the house. This shows the tremendous power of Bramhanandaji. Brahmanandaji has visited south around three times. Once in his south visit while he came to the Madras Math( the old Shrine) by looking at the shrine he told to the monks and other peoples that this shrine has become too old, so you people built a new shrine for Thakur. But that time the income was so poor that hardly two times food could be arranged, then from where they’ll collect such a big amount to build a new shrine! But Brahmanandaji was so strong at his will that he ordered that within eight month the work of the New Temple should be completed. That was the month of August. Then next year by April he visited Madras again and saw the work had fully done. He then said to the other people, “I knew that it would not be possible for you people to bring up such a great work by constructing a new temple. So I requested Thakur that you yourself have to make a new place for you. That is how the new temple has built”. Another time when he was traveling across various parts of India while going through a jungle he has faced a tiger. The tiger has hardly few feet away from him. All the people who were also coming across the same path started running but Brahmanandaji stood still. He remained as it is and instead of frightening he looked directly into the eyes of the tiger. The tiger came few steps towards him then returned and went back to the deep jungle. All the incidents showing the infinite power within him….He was the first president of Belur Math. … He was also very affectionate to the childrens. When from the math they thought to build up an orphanage for children then Brahmanandaji told that it should be made like a Palace. While asked the reason he replied, “Why not? They are the sons of Sri Ramakrishna, they are the Prince of the King, so they should be brought up in a Palace only like a Prince.” And it really has made like a Palace. As Swami Brahmananda has born in a day of Ekadasi so this very day considered as ekadasi…” There are few more things which I couldn’t remember right at this moment. But as a whole my day has gone great by Thakurs blessing. He was wearing the bright yellows cloth as was shinning inside the temple as like the Sun. His smiling face was so caring, loving and assuring too. I am really so happy by seeing the face of Thakur. Even I felt as like I came to my mother every time I see the Glorious face of Thakur. Jai Ramakrishna… Jai Ma… Jai Swamiji

Life is Good

After a long time I am really feeling great. From the past few days there are so many wonderful things which are happening in my life. I am so much thankful to the great almighty for being so kind to me. Thank you “Thakur”. You are really great!! Let’s start with the beautiful and brilliant paining exhibition which has held for full 15 days in the Vivekanandar Illam (Vivekananda House) which is situated just opposite to the marina beach. I was so much touched by seeing the enthusiasm and the innovative ideas of almost all the competitors. The competitors were both school and college students. And how professionally they drawn the pictures with such a perfection!! It seems like a professional painter has drawn those paintings. Some painting has drawn only by pencil and with so much perfection that for a while you may feel the actual presence of Swamiji (Swami Vivekananda). The prize winning pictures were truly great. Only by using pencil a guy brought the 3D effect in his paining which got the first prize( in the picture Swamiji looks so much real that u feel like he is looking into your eyes).the second picture where Mother Kanyakumari is blessing Swamiji who is sitting on a rock in kanyakumarika. Even here the whole painting made up by pencil alone and brought up the realistic effect, everything… the ornaments of the Goddess… the Ashirwad she is giving to Swamiji, I mean the ray coming from her hand too was so much perfect like its coming lighter too darker… the clothes of Swamiji is somewhat clumsy.. All these were so much perfect. The third prize winning picture was an oil painting of Swamiji which resembles the picture of Swamiji taken at San Francisco. So many has asked whether that is a painting or a real one (photograph). The boy who has drawn this picture brought some lighting effect in his painting. It seems like Swamiji is standing and light is focusing in his right side and on the left side the shades are coming. It was really too good. The other pictures too are equally good. Each and every picture tells a story. It feels great to see those creative minds. There were also some special paintings. Most of them are drawn by physically challenged person. A person having no hands (drawn with his leg alone), a girl being deaf and dumb, a small school children having no hands( drawn by his mouth alone) brought up with such a wonderful painting that even for us it would be difficult, who are blessed with all physical abilities. They should be our inspiration. Though they are physically disabled the have come up with all their will-power and by remembering Swamiji’s sayings, “Strength is life, Weakness is death”… “All the power is within you. You can do anything and everything”. There was a paining which was made totally by grains, a picture made only and only by writing the name Swami Vivekananda in Tamil ( everything.. the face, the eyes, the eyeball, the sun..), a painting of Swamiji decorated with woolen thread and also a painting which has fully made up with peacock feather. All the paintings were with so much creative idea. A special picture has drawn by a Student of Kumbakonam Dist. by taking his own blood (20 mg) from his hand. There was also a boy from Kanchipuram Dist. who alone has drawn 16 portraits of Swamiji. All those were really inspiring. The exhibition has ended up by 26th of Jan. Truly I had a great experience.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

Today is the holy occasion of Swamiji Vivekananda’s Birthday. We had a great day. Morning we went to Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore( Universal temple) around 4.45 am and then by 5'o clock attended the Mangal Aarati followed by Bhajans by Swami Abhiramananda. It was so nice. And the best part is Our Dear Thakur (Sri Ramakrishna) was wearing the special red color (which is my favorite) cloth in which he always looks the best. I was so happy that I can’t describe in words. Actually I always want him to be in that red color cloth. It was truly awesome. Sri Sri Ma too was looking great. And the B'day baby, our dear "Swamiji" was as graceful as always in his ocher cloth. The flower decoration was wonderful. Behind Thakur's image (Thakurer murti) seven flower bouquet hanging in the wall back Thakur in such a way like 3 in the right side 3 in the left side and in the middle just above Thakur's image a big bouquet, these has done with the idea of saptarshi mandal, where the 7 Rishi's has been replaced by 7 bouquets and in the middle the big bouquet is Swamiji.
The whole idea was too good. And after bhajan there was parikrama of the temple for 3 times with bhajans by Swami Gautamananda and other monks (where devotees also followed them) which was also very nice. At first we all sang "Ramakrishna sharanam", then " Jaya jaya janani" and then one song for Swamiji which ends with Vivekananda jayahey (actually i dont know the start of the song that is why…). After that they gave pongal Prasad to all the devotees. Then didi and I returned to t.nagar.
After some while didi went to T.Nagar Ramakrishna Ashram and then to Sri Sarada math. I have gone to t.nagar ashram. There also the flower decoration was so beautiful. I had Prasad there itself. Evening we have gone to Universal temple again and attended the aarati. Then it was the discourse about Swamiji by Swami Abhiramananda (in Tamil) and then by Swami Gautamananda (in English). Gautamanandaji's lecture was so good, so simple and also thought provoking.
After that we returned home.
We had a very good and pleasant day by Thakur's grace. His smiling face was so nice that no one would feel low or depressed. Everyone have to be happy and full of eternal joy after the view of Sri Sri Thakur.
Thakurer kapale chandaner phontata jaljal korchilo. Thakurer anandamay mukh dekhe amaro shotti shotti knub anondo hocchilo. Thakur shabaike erakam anandey rakun ei shubho dine thakurer kache prarthana kori.
Jai Sri Ramakrishna

The flight of Alone to the Alone

The life which is so dear to us & also we are so possessive about; actually has a lone journey.
The Almighty who has created us haven’t given any companion to us, we were all alone while we borne. Then by the rule of nature we have grown up… physically, mentally and spiritually. Spirituality, which is so important for each and every one of us, that it should be practiced by ourselves. No one can lead us in the way of spiritual improvement or practice. The real meaning of our life, the realization of God has to be found only by ourselves.
Its something like, if we feel hungry we have to make arrangement for our food, no one will feed us. Same way in the spiritual path we have to attain the spiritual realization until and unless we realize the supreme power.
The flight of alone to the alone… the first alone referred to us, who borne alone, will leave the bode alone; only the mid stage, due to the dominance of Maya, we are forgetting our real goal of life and live as if we are of all these community or society and also for which its really painful while we are leaving the world.
And the second alone is referred to the one and only Almighty, the supreme power, who is ruling the universe.
Though we believe it or not (about the existence of God), God is there with form(the image), without form, and also above the form and formless. It is all up to us the way we believe in the supreme lord.
As an example I would say, the water… some says it as aqua, some says it as neer, some says it as jal and to some its pani… but the actual thing remains same, the water only. Its only ones view to take the thing the way they prefer. Likewise, the existence of the Almighty is also true.
And our lone jourly to reach the ultimate goal, to realize the spirituality, even in ourselves will be completed only after the actual realization, when truly we’ll feel the oneness with God and visualize him in each & everyone.
As Swami Vivekananda says “The Ultimate Goal of all Mankind is but one- Reunion with God”.

Mesmerizing Mysore

This time a memorable visit to the beautiful, mesmerizing city, Mysore. It’s my second visit to the city. The very first thing which took my attention is the very cool climate and the cleanliness of the city. The journey towards Mysore to memorable for which I’m really grateful to the kids who has accompanied me all the time, till the end. As soon as you entered the city we all were touched by the pleasant environment. In a Friday morning we I mean me, mom and sis have reached Mysore. Actually the hotel where we are supposed to stay was filled so we have moved to the other lodge. The great thing of that lodge is it’s just opposite to the holy Panchamukhi Ganapaty temple.
So after fresh up first we have started for Mysore Ramakrishna Math, the place I just loved at first site. Beautiful temple, wonderful garden, so many lotus in small lake, gentle breeze and the calm, peaceful environment, so much of green ...everything was so good that I felt like being there itself. Anyways after arriving there we’ve gone to the shrine, made pranam to Thakur, holy mother and Swamiji then prayed for some times. After that we went to meet the swamiji maharaj. Then we’ve gone to see the bookstall. It was nice. Then after having prasad we’ve moved to our lodge. After taking rest for few while we’ve started to see the RIMSE (Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education) which mainly renowned for its museum which consist of all the various religions of the world. After entering there anybody would feel like he has come in a world of different cast, religion and all their histories from the very beginning. The institute also has a meditation hall and prayer hall. It was a cool evening. After finishing all those we have returned to the ashram which is also very close to Sri Govindaraj Temple. Then we have attended the evening aarati in the math and then came back to hotel.
The next day our actual journey began. By 7.00am we got into the bus. Then at first we reached Mysore Art Gallery a remarkable place of Mysore built by the Maharaja of Mysore (which anciently known as Mahishur). After visiting that we’ve move to the shopping center. We had a great time. Got some particles specially made by sandalwoods and some more things. Then we moved to the Chamunda hill which is around 12 km far from the city. On the top of the hill there is the temple of Sri Chamundeshwari Devi. The place is 3450km above from sea level. From the top we viewed the aerial view of the whole city. It was truly a great experience. On the way back we saw the statue of bull which is known as Nandi’s statue and also the 4th biggest Nandi statue in India.
It was already 1.30pm and right from early morning we’re traveling, have take anything except some light snack. So we all have gone to restaurant and had our lunch.
Now it was the time to visit the great Mysore Palace which is the one of the main attraction of Mysore. The location, the construction everything was nice. There are four entrance of the palace but the main entrance is only one. The other experience which we had for the first time is, roaming around the palace in a hoarse-carriage (ghora-gari).
Then from there we move to the Zoo which is quit far from the city. After zoo we have gone to visit the Cathedral Church (St. Philomena’s Church) which is the fourth tallest church in the country. This is the other place which would be liked by everyone and it is truly an excellent place … might the climate made that more charming.
Then it was another long journey to Sriranga Pattanam, the place of great Tipu Sultan. There we’ve visited the Vishnu Temple.
And then we have started for the famous Brindavan Garden. Somewhere around evening 6.30 we reached there. Actually the garden has divided into two main parts, one is south garden and the other is north garden. The main attraction is on the north garden which has dance of the fountain with the music with colorful lights. South garden also has the same thing but without the musical dance. To go to north garden boating is also available.
It was about to rain but doesn’t rain so the climate was cool. So this was about my visit to Mysore which ended with some happy and memorable moments.
